In a game full of magic, you may wonder: why bother with weapons? Would it not be wise to withhold these weighty hunks of wood and metal from myself in favor of whimsical spells? Well, while warping the Weave to your will is a worthwhile endeavor, living out the fantasy of wielding a warhammer to wantonly whack at a water weird, or wholly whelming a wyvern on the wing with your whip whenever you want is is enough to wow anyone!
Yes, the martial classes are truly impressive, and they need weapons to match so that they can keep up with their spellcasting teammates! But not all weapons are made equal! Not only are some better than others depending on your playstyle, some are so bad that they should never be equipped! This week, Rob (@thedndwannabe) and Steven review all the weapons in the PHB to help you find which ones are right for you, and which ones are wrong for everyone! While some of the information may be obvious, I'll bet you'll learn something new.
