There is a day between crucifixion and resurrection; Saturday. And I think how we approach that day depends on what we believe. If we believe that Jesus is dead and that's the end of the story, then Saturday is a continuation of our mourning. It is a day of sadness that leads us straight to despair. We sit in a hopeless place without any sight of hope.

But...

If we believe that Jesus will rise again, then our tears of grief, as we watched the brutal death, become tears of heartbreak that move us to move and let the world know that it is not over. That death is not the end of the story, but rather the beginning. Our hearts break for those who don't believe.
