What is the WhiSKHA Child program?

The WhiSKHA Child program is designed to provide children with additional support needs, aged 5-12, the opportunity to participate in planned activities, develop skills, interact socially, achieve goals, and meet personal challenges in a safe and stimulating environment. The program is offered during school holidays.

Who is eligible to participate in the WhiSKHA Child program?

To be eligible, a child must: be aged between 5 and 12 years old; currently hold an NDIS package or funding from another agency; have additional support needs; have up-to-date medical support plans (if applicable); and have experienced past or present difficulties accessing mainstream holiday programs.

What does the WhiSKHA Child program cost?

The program costs $20.00 per child per day, invoiced as an out-of-pocket expense. NDIS hourly fees also apply, with a minimum of 7.5 hours per day charged. Refer to the service agreement for specific NDIS fee details.

What should my child bring to the WhiSKHA Child program?

Children should bring appropriate footwear and clothing based on the weather and planned activities, sufficient changes of clothes, a sun-smart hat (sunscreen is provided), and a nut-free packed lunch, snacks, and drinks, all labelled with the child's name. Electronic devices are strongly discouraged. Any medication needed during the day must be given to staff in a Webster-pak.

What kind of support is provided to children in the WhiSKHA Child program?

The program offers experienced and qualified staff who provide support on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis, depending on the child's needs. Additional support staff can be provided for participants with higher support requirements.

How do I book my child's place in the WhiSKHA Child program?

To book, you need to complete an application form and email it to [email protected]. Enrolment will be confirmed before the program starts, and payment is required to secure the booking.

What are some of the activities planned for the Autumn 2025 WhiSKHA Child program?
