Whispers at the Cliffs
- (📝Marcella Boccia) -

as I played the game
The ocean roared below
a deadly kiss
the wind’s fingers
pulling me into the abyss
But I held on tight
like love’s cruel fight
feeling the rain
heavy as the night
It fell like tears
not of sorrow
but joy
each drop a memory

The waves crashed loud
the wind screamed its tale
but you were far
beyond the veil
Yet in that moment
under the cold
dark sky
I felt you near
though I couldn’t deny
The emotions tangled
like ropes in the storm
a punk heart beating
so ragged
so worn
But I’ll keep this night
where the rain ran free
the memory of you
and the wild
salty sea
