We wrap up the jour by talking to Dr Uduak Johnson, an academic from, Mancosa. He and two colleagues were invited to present a research paper titled: Whistle Blowing in South Africa: a vulnerable watchdog. This subject is a very thorny one for our country as we’ve seen so many whistle-blowers who uncovered fraud being killed, the most famous being Babita Deokaran who was murdered for exposing R1 billion worth of irregular tenders issued at the Tembisa Hospital.
