Whistleblowers serve the public interest by releasing confidential information to the public, often exposing large-scale illegal activities such as tax evasion, as was the case with the Luxleaks scandal.

Today, these people do not have any legal protection on a European level. We had a talk with Sven Giegold, a Green MEP from Germany, to learn what the issue is and how we can handle it.
