The Reel-ists discuss the movie "White Boy Rick", the true story of Richard "Rick" Wershe Jr., in Episode 76! This was the first time Donnie and Oscar were exposed to this true story and both found the movie to be emotional as a result of the great performances by the actors. Oscar appreciated how accurate the movie remained in telling this story as it provided an honest take rather than a Hollywood version with snippets of truth. Donnie found the locations and character portrayals allowed this movie make a bigger impact as it made the story more believable and not glamorized. The father and son relationship was the driving force that kept the movie going. While the movie manages to tell this unbelievable story, it manages to stumble when it comes to supporting characters. The guys still found this movie to be a success especially for new actor Richie Merritt. Check out what the final "Reel" score for this movie is!
