Most people assume they’re right with God because they’ve done enough — gone to church, got baptized, never killed anyone, and try to be a good person. But Scripture doesn’t say we’re mostly good — it says we’re dead. Spiritually dead. And dead people can’t fix themselves. In Ephesians 2, Paul is going to teach us the truth about our condition apart from Christ, the cure that only comes through Jesus, and the calling that comes with grace. You weren’t just saved from something — you were saved for something. There are dead people all around you. It’s time to go.
