Kathy talks with her guest Mikayla Hedrick about an issue that has prompted a great deal of discussion among those of us who are returning to the Hebraic roots of our faith. As we learn more and more about how far the institutional church has strayed from the beliefs and practices of the first century believers, we are left in a quandary--do we stay connected to local church institutions because we have simply always done so, or because we value the relationships we have made over the years, or because we simply don’t have anywhere else to congregate? Or do we break with the traditional church because it does not fit with our new-found knowledge, our restructured belief system and the new practice of our faith? It is a real problem. And frankly each of us is left to deal with it as best we can.

"We’re not Jews although we look a lot like Jews to most Christians. We are not Christians even though we look like Christians to most Jews. Who are we? And where do we fit in? Do we have an identity crisis?"
