So far in 1 Peter, we have explore who we are (Family) and why we exist declaring and demonstrating good news as God’s royal priesthood (Missionary) but the question is how should we go?
What should be our posture as God’s people? We see in this passage our servant identity. We are a family of missionary servants.
In 1 Peter 2:18-25, Peter addresses all Christians as slaves in their new status in service to Jesus and the Kingdom.
However, God never asks us to do anything he isn’t willing to himself. Who God is and what God has done always comes before our identity and calling as servants.
Jesus is displayed as the ultimate servant in this passage with echoes and hints from Isaiah 52:13 - 53:12.
Here is our question for you: How can you creatively imagine this week to be a servant in your neighborhood, to your co-workers, to that person that makes you uncomfortable in your MC, and to our city?
