Who Are We To Judge?

Listen Later

Sermon for the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost
Today Reverend Shelley explores a difficult passage from Jesus’ teachings. What does it mean when Jesus says, “If your eye causes you to stumble, tear it out; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and to be thrown into hell, where their worm never dies, and the fire is never quenched."
Readings appointed for Pentecost 19 are:
• Esther 7: 1-6; 9-10
• Psalm 124
• James 5: 15-20
• Mark 9: 38-50
Recorded at St. Saviour’s Church, 43 Kimberley Avenue, Toronto, M4E 2Z4.
