Exodus, chapter 1, verses 8 and 9, “Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. And he said to his people, ‘Look, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we are.’“

In the gospel of Luke chapter 16 verse 8, Jesus makes an incredible statement; that is, that sometimes in this world the children of this world are in their generation, wiser than the children of light. In our opening text, the enemies of God’s people knew something about them which they had forgotten about themselves. How about you? Do you know that in Christ you are more and you are mightier than any power that will ever come against you? Do you know that no captivity of darkness can hold you any longer? It’s imperative that you rediscover today who you are in Christ.
