It’s not just Christians who talk about the end of the world. There are all kinds of “doomsday” scenarios out there. Large-scale nuclear war, global pandemic, runaway climate change, giant asteroid, super-volcano, artificial intelligence, reversal of the Earth's magnetic poles, biological warfare, technological warfare, cyber-attacks, alien invasion, zombie apocalypse, etc. Take your pick! Some of these scenarios are obviously more silly than others. But some of them are taken very seriously by very serious people. The truth is, even non-Christians and non-religious people think the world as we know it is quickly approaching some kind of catastrophic end. It’s scary stuff. For some, it keeps us awake at night. What will happen? Am I ready? Will I be able to stand? Indeed, that is the question we need to urgently consider. When the world ends, who can stand? We turn now to Revelation 6:1-17 as we begin part two of our study of the book of Revelation called Sealed & Standing.
