Truly, recognizing the suffering of others - and then taking action to help them - exemplifies a substantial expression of love for those who are afflicted….and that is a textbook meaning of what compassion is all about. But sadly, many in our world today (including those who call themselves Believers) lack the sensitivity – and the empathy - to think of others FIRST, often putting themselves before anything or anyone else….which is something that Jesus told us does NOT represent Him.
