Who Do You Belong To?
“For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.” - Romans 14:8.
Let’s be real—everyone’s trying to claim you. Social media, trends, opinions, expectations… they all try to define who you are and what you should be. But Romans 14:8 gives us a solid truth: you belong to Jesus.
Whether you’re just starting your journey with God or have been walking with Him for years, one thing is true—your life isn’t random or meaningless. You were bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:20), and now, everything about you—your talents, dreams, and even your struggles—is in His hands.
Paul is clear: if we’re alive, we live for the Lord; if we die, we die for the Lord. In other words, every moment of our lives has a purpose—to reflect Him, love Him, and live for Him. The goal isn’t to chase approval from people or live for ourselves, but to please the One we belong to.
And even when Christians have different opinions on minor things—like how to dress, what to eat, or how to celebrate—Paul reminds us not to judge each other. Because at the end of the day, we all belong to the same Lord. Jesus is our focus, not the differences.
Today’s Challenge:
Before you post, speak, or decide something today, pause and ask:“Does this reflect that I belong to Jesus?” Let His voice be louder than the crowd’s.
Prayer:
“Jesus, thank You that I’m Yours. Help me to live with purpose and confidence, knowing I don’t belong to the world—I belong to You. Teach me to live for You in everything I do, even in the small choices. In Your name, amen.”
