Beloved: Gospel of John
Who Do You Think You Are?
November 4, 2018
Please turn in your Bibles to John 1:19-34
Key to John “These things are recorded in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.” John 20:31
How do we see that here? It’s found in knowing who you are and who you’re not.
1: Who do you think you are!
“What are your credentials?” (V 24-25)
App: Who do you think you are? Have you come to a place of repentance?
2: Are you willing to embrace who you are not?
“I am not the Messiah.” (V 20c)
Have you ever had anyone try to make a Savior out of you?
App: Have you embraced what you aren’t?
3: Are you willing to simply point to someone else?
“I am the voice?” (V 23)
“…this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true
God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” John 17:3
What is God’s Spirit speaking into your life today?
How must you respond?
