Who Do You Trust?

Listen Later

Who Do You Trust?
You trust your children along with their school teachers.
You trust that man who proposed to you, that he will make you his wife.
You trust that husband to love and provide for you and the children.
You trust your wife to respect you, be faithful to you, care for the children and the home.
But most of us trust people with our money.
(Psalm 62:8) NIV
Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
Trust is faith, and faith is hope.
When we deposit our money in an account, we trust that it will be there when we need it. We're confident that it's safe.
But do we trust God like that? It's easy to trust God when we're in control. But do we trust him when things spiral out of control? Can we trust God all the times?
David in The Bible, went through perilous times. But in each situation, he would pour out his heart to God (v. 8) as his chief Confidant and Refuge.
The definition for perilous:
* full of danger or risk.
• *exposed to imminent risk of disaster or ruin.
Dictionary meaning:
Confidant - a person with whom one shares a secret or private matter, trusting them not to repeat it to others.
Refuge - a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble.

Everyone trust someone or something, and with many, it's their money.
(Psalm 62:10)
"Don' try to get rich with extortion or robbery.  And if your wealth increases, don't make it the center of your life."
Paul told Timothy to "tell those who are rich not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which will soon be gone. But their trust should be in the living God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment."
(1Timothy 6:17)
Don't put all your trust into worldly things. Put all your trust in the Lord.
The Prayer Of Salvation:
Dear Lord Jesus, I ask for your forgiveness of my sins, known, unknown, thought, deed, and word. I believe You died & rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I accept You as my Lord & Savior.
(Romans 10:13)NIV
Everyone who
calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
(Romans 10:9)NIV
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
(Acts 2: 38-39)NASB
38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
