A Word from Our Outpost, with Joseph and Crystal Gruber

Who, Exactly, Are You? // Episode 128

Listen Later

Hello, dear listener! We've been podcasting for a few years now, and we'd love a chance to learn who, exactly, we've been talking to!

If you have our phone numbers, please let us know that you're one of our listeners, and what it is you listen for. If you don't have our numbers, please email us at [email protected] and let us know who you are, what you listen for, and what you'd like to hear more of. Especially, if you could tell us the kinds of episodes you're most likely to share with others (length, topic, style, etc.), that would be helpful, too.

We have a fair bit to say on topics ranging from evangelization/discipleship, marriage, dating, theology, scripture, formation, and education, and we're trying to feel out which way to go. My personal guess is mostly marriage and ongoing formation-y topics, but

I'm also in the middle of writing several books (one on virtue, one on Genesis, and one on marriage), and before going to a publisher, I'd really like to be able to say that we both have a large enough audience to warrant them publishing someone new, and that the audience is looking for such-and-such material from us already. We're also hoping to give more talks and workshops and the like in the future (we've really enjoyed doing so thus far, and have no reason to think we wouldn't continue to do so), and so we're depending on you, faithful listeners, to help us grow.

Promotion is not our strongest suit; if it is the strongest suit for any of you, and you'd like to talk to us about how to go about doing it, please let us know!

****A quick note-- on relistening, it sounded as if the story of the friend reaching out to his neighbors and bringing communion to them might have been the same friend who is an agnostic. Those are in fact different friends (and it would have been unusual had they been the same person...). The agnostic I've known to be a sometime-listener for a while now, while the neighboring-story-friend is someone I just found out is a listener. Sorry if there was confusion!
