In this very first episode of Unnecessary Advice from a Nobody, I finally answer the question:Who am I, and why on earth am I giving advice?
I’m Sonia – a 40-something mom, expat, overthinker, Zumba addict and professional collector of life experiences. I’ve been a cashier, receptionist, sales assistant, secretary, marketing consultant, wife, ex-wife, girlfriend, friend who gives “just one more opinion”… so no, I’m not a therapist or a guru. I’m just someone who’s messed up, learned, laughed, cried – and is still here to talk about it.
In this episode I share:
• What this podcast is about: honest, unfiltered conversations about relationships, work, family, identity and all the messy in-between.
• What this podcast is not: therapy, professional advice or a place where I pretend to have my life together.
• Why I think “nobodies” like us are actually the best people to talk about real life.If you’ve ever felt like you’re too old, too late, too tired, too much or not enough – you’re in the right place.

Thanks for being here for Episode 1. Now let’s see what kind of unnecessary advice we can get into together.
