Today we dive into the gospel of John 16:12-15. “When the spirit of truth comes he will guide you into all the truth.” Jesus gave certain teachings only to the apostles, whom he had chosen to become the first bishops of the Church. As lay people we cannot rely on our understanding alone when interpreting Scripture. This is why we have the teaching authority of the Magisterium guided by the Holy Spirit.
