The BoatCast welcomes upcoming 1st time Rock Boat artist The Commonheart to the podcast. Led by frontman Clinton Clegg, The Commonheart is an eight-piece rock-n-soul group based in Pittsburgh, PA that offers vintage uplifting soul music with plenty of complimenting instruments. The rest of the band is made up of Abby Gross (saxophone), Mariko Reid (vocals), Anton DeFade (bass), Cole Insko (drums), Mike Minda (guitar), Lucas Bowman (keyboards), and Nate Insko (trumpet).

Clinton discusses the inner band dynamics and highlights the difficult logistics behind being a large band. He goes on to discuss the recent opportunities they had to work with Pittsburgh professional sports teams and how the band acts as a therapy for making him the best person he could be. Clinton also tells us how excited the band is to perform on next year's Rock Boat and how he looks forward to the collaboration opportunities with fellow Rock Boat artists.
