Palm Sunday confronts us with the most crucial question about Jesus: Who is this? When Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey, the crowds called him a prophet from Nazareth - true but incomplete. Jesus is not just a prophet, but also the great priest and king. Many people today make the same mistake, seeing Jesus as merely a good teacher or moral example while missing his full identity. We can also miss God's activity when he doesn't meet our expectations, just like the people who wanted a conquering king instead of a humble savior. Jesus is the God who speaks with authority, knows all things including the details of your life, stoops down in humility to save and lift us up, and deserves our complete worship and praise.
