Jesus was not a myth, a ghost, a puppet, a mere man, or even a mere prophet. He was, according to the Gospel of Mark, nothing less than the Son of Man, who is a Son of God. He is, ultimately, the God-Man: as the Council of Chalcedon put it, he is fully divine, fully human, two natures in one person.
