In my experience, most people have a variety of misconceptions of who Jesus was and is - from the way He looked, to the interactions He had with people. A thoughtful read of the Gospels will significantly change your mental images of Jesus and challenge you to rethink not only what He looked like and lived like, but also the very reason He came. Episode #4 – The Power of a Changed Life – God works powerfully through people who humbly come to Him, confess their faults and seek reconciliation. Armed with the knowledge that her sin is forgiven and God loves her, the woman in this story becomes a picture of the power of God working through broken, but reconciled people to bring grace and mercy to a whole town of people. At the same time, Jesus shows His disciples their prejudice and lack of concern for lost and struggling people. Their blindness made it impossible for God to work through them in this same town.
