Who is John Stott, and why does he matter so much in modern evangelical history?

In this short introduction, I look at Stott as preacher, writer, Anglican leader, and one of the most important evangelical voices of the twentieth century. He helped shape the way many Protestants thought about Scripture, mission, preaching, and public witness.

He was also a central figure in the story of evangelical identity in Britain, especially in the arguments over unity, separation, and what kind of movement evangelicalism was going to become.
