In Luke 10:24-27, a man questions Jesus about the commandment to "love thy neighbor as thyself", prompting Jesus to deliver the parable of the Good Samaritan, in which a Samaritan stops to help a man that he does not know who has been robbed. In order to show love for God, we must love our neighbor by having mercy and compassion for all, even those we may not know or like.
