Satan is notorious and so are his key followers that one third of the fallen Angels that left heaven to follow him. So don't think it's strange when something bad happens down here. Man did it, he yields to sin the seed of Satan, be it here or somewhere else in this world. When something bad happens these individuals will be present: man and evil spirits. Remember how in one of my podcast I said "nothing happens upon the Earth unless man does it." Because God put man in charge of the Earth whether we take charge or not! Whether we care or destroy it. This is also true in both  realms of good/evil; that nothing good or bad happens upon the Earth unless man does it. A case for good: no hungry child is fed unless man feeds him; no sick man is healed unless man heals him, (although God reserved the right to intervene in this area but the majority of the time he puts it in our hand to help). Now on the evil side: No gun, knife or any other weapon, has killed anybody upon the Earth by itself; if it happened man was present.
When good or evil transpire down here, Man had something to do with it. Whether we love or hate, kill or save alive, we build or tare down, we enjoy our lives or destroy our lives, we decide to have children to extend humanity or we decline to have children and destroy humanity. Whether we do good and we thrive in God's favor or we do evil and we are shunned or rejected from the favor of God. One might add: How do you explain what we call natural disasters, if man has so much to do with all things that happens down here? The earthquakes, storms/floods, fires, etc.? We explained the earthquake with the solid rock we're standing on, which also has a spiritual implication if you will, you explain the storms and floods with the calms and sunshine to dry out, you explained the fire with the rain to joust out. Though you didn't see it, man cause it. God has given us a natural balance of how our mother Earth keeps us safe and when it don't, trust me man and evil spirits are at fault. Because of our sins and disobedience to God it bring about these catastrophes. "When Elijah needed to hold back the rain until he got the message to Ahab. God waited on the man Elijah, once Ahab was notified the rain came." (1Kings 18:41-46) read it! And today God still operates through man. Friends, this is still a man's world here on earth, we just don't know it, and Satan don't want us to know it.
