Most people we know have some thoughts about God. They may or may not believe in Him, but they think they know what we’re talking about when we mention God. That doesn’t mean that they aren’t still asking the same question Pharaoh did. When the Egyptian ruler asked Moses, Who is the Lord?, he was asking why the God of Israel deserved any kind of obedience or reverence. Basically, Pharaoh thought like many in his culture: that there were many gods and you should try to figure out which one was the most powerful at any moment, so you could be on the winning side. His question was said in challenge against the true and living God, but it was a piercing question for him and it is for us today as well. Whether we are not sure what we think about God, or we are Christians who claim to worship and follow Him, the answer to this questions is vital. Let’s explore it together today!
