THEME: WHO IS YOUR NEIGHBOUR?
MEMORISE:
Let brotherly love continue. Hebrews 13:1
READ: Luke 10:25-37
MESSAGE:
Love is the foundation upon which every relationship is built. Our God is love, so, if we are like God, we must love like Him. The early apostles understood this, so they did everything in common. They treated one another as neighbours; no wonder the Bible says in Acts 2:46
“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,”
Who truly is your neighbour? In our Bible reading for today, Jesus Christ made it clear that your neighbour is that fellow that is in need of your help at any point in time. It does not matter if he or she is your friend, your church member or lives close to you. Don't wait for the dullest student in your class to ask for help before you teach him or her. Be a good neighbour.
KEY POINT:
Your neighbour is whoever is in need of your help.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
1 Kings 10-11, Luke 24:1-53
