Two Territorians putting up their hands for this year's federal election - one in the Senate and the other in the Lower House - have backed more dingo protections, despite losing their own dogs to a notorious outback poison.

Letters for the Environment Central Australia endorses candidates they believe will do the best job to protect dingoes and control the invasive species buffel grass.
