Covenant as Communion: One Covenant from the Triune God
At the heart of our theology is covenant. A covenant is an oath-bound relationship, but more deeply, covenant is communion—shared life with God. God is eternally Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, existing in perfect love and fellowship. Creation and redemption flow out of this eternal love.
God created the world not out of necessity, but out of generosity. He created humanity in His image so that we might share in His covenant life. Scripture tells one unified covenant story, not a series of disconnected covenants. God’s covenant with humanity begins with Adam and unfolds through history, growing, maturing, and expanding until it reaches its fulfillment in Jesus Christ.
