Preached @ Grace Community Church in Arroyo Hondo New Mexico on June 1st, 2016 (Wednesday evening service)
Many are straying away from the faith, from reading the Holy Bible, going to church faithfully and sound doctrines including the rapture doctrine. And Jesus Christ shows us several reasons why. Because of sin. Because of false ministers preaching another gospel has led many astray. The love of many has waxed cold. Also the Holy Spirit of God has shown John another reason why?
1 John 2:18-19 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
The reason behind the great apostasy of 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4. These people were never the Lords to begin with:
Eternity will be full of surprised people, and the Holy Word of God warns all humanity of the pending judgments to come starting in:
Revelation 1:7 Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.
The first revelation is that Jesus Christ had preached in Matthew chapter 24:29-31 what He revealed to John in Revelation 6:12-17. For they are comparable to each other: (Matthew 24:29/Revelation 6:12-17/Matthew 24:30/Revelation 1:7).
At the appearance of Jesus Christ even the blind will see. The spiritually dead will see Him and understand whom they are seeing. People watching the news will see Him. Those who weren’t outside at that moment will see cell phone pics and videos on the Internet of the resurrected Messiah, Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ. Because the Word of God is specific that, “Every eye shall see Him”
Not everyone will see Jesus Christ at that moment when He appears in the clouds for one reason or another. But every eye shall see Him… On the internet, cell phone pics, on the news, moments, hours or days later perhaps. Because notice, this passage did not say “and suddenly every eye will see Him at that moment.” No, it says, “Every eye shall see Him!” One way or another every eye shall see and they who are lefty behind shall mourn as a testimony against all humanity.
“And they also which pierced Him:” Referring to the Jews (who rejected Jesus Christ as The Messiah) and Gentiles (who nailed Him to the cross). Now spiritually speaking all our sins crucified Jesus Christ but physically speaking this is referring to both Jews and Gentiles shall see Him.
This passage of Scripture is also referring to backsliders; the lukewarm, dead, compromising and the corrupt Christians (Revelation 2-3). Who has a form of godliness but denies the power! Denies Jesus Christ as Lord in their thoughts, words, hearts and actions who do not glorify Him as Lord. Who looks like a Christian on the outside, but is secretly sinning. Impenitent Hypocrites! These will be left behind!
Hebrews 10:26-31 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith He was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto Me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
These are Christians who continue to sin willfully after they have received the knowledge of the truth, whom God calls His adversaries! Those sinning Christians who trampled underfoot Jesus Christ and counted His blood as a common (powerless) thing and treat the Holy Ghost the same way will be left behind! He also speaks to backsliders… If they continue to backslide away from Christ will also be left behind
Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.
So worldly sinners, rejectors of Christ. Sinning, backsliding and reprobate Christians are the ones who have pierced Jesus Christ and put Him to an open shame are the ones who will be left behind. Also, those Christians who did not ready themselves nor believed in the rapture doctrine will be left behind! Because if they had believed this Holy Word (The Holy Bible), they would have readied themselves in repentance and lived right with God. In fact, Jesus Christ had ministered on the importance of getting ready for the rapture
Matthew 24:34-44 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
This is the same message that carries over into Matthew 25. Two types of Christians are likened as the 5 wise and the 5 foolish virgins. They both were wearing white meaning, they were both right with God. They were pure before God. They both were waiting for the Lord to show up. Both fell asleep. What was the difference? One group was ready and the other group was not. This is what’s happening today.
Even the Old Testament tells us how to get ready. Because the Old and New Testaments preaches the same message, how to get right with God, how to stay right with God and be ready for eternity
Deuteronomy 10:12-16 And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and His statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good (Matthew 22:35-40)?
This is how to love the LORD. KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS! (John 14:15). What are His commands? “Love one another” Jesus Christ was referring to the 10 Commandments. This is how we love God and love our neighbor as ourselves. The message of the Old and New Testaments never changed. It’s all the same message. Repent or perish (Luke 13).
Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the Lord’s thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is. Only the Lord had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and He chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day. Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
Watch your walk closely. Draw near to God and He will draw near unto you. Love the Lord Thy God with all your hearts. And we need to do this more and more as we see the day of the rapture approaching. It is so close at hand!
(Skip down to verse 13)
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God (Matthew 24:30-31): and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Those who believe and remain in Jesus Christ with a penitent heart, walking in the fear of the Lord, in the Spirit of God so that you do not gratify the desires of sinful flesh. Always watching and ready for His appearance in the clouds shall be caught up in the air with Jesus Christ in the rapture! And those who do not do this with all your heart shall be left behind!
