Who Will Go? God said, He Would

God is Love, Peace, and Unity.

Today is the feast of The Most Holy Trinity. We celebrate the triune nature of our God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. If I had to use one word to describe each of these divine persons, I would choose love, peace, and unity.

God the Father is love. He created all things out of love. We were made in His image because of love. God entered into multiple covenants with us as a sign of His love. Even after all our sinfulness, God sent His Son to us, because He loves us and because God is love.

God the Son, to me, is peace. Jesus, in His human form, walked the earth with us and experienced our daily trials. Even when things got rough for Him, Jesus was calm and steadied those around Him. He taught us to love and serve one another. This journey is not a race; we should move forward each day with the tranquility inspired by our Lord. Jesus’ guiding presence will calm us and keep us true to our course, because God is peace.

God the Holy Spirit is unity. It is the Holy Spirit that bonds us together as Christians. The Holy Spirit moves us to do good in different ways within the unity of Gods’ family. We are many, but we are one, because God is unity.
