Who Will Sign Malik Beasley After Being Cleared Of Federal Gambling Investigation?

Listen Later

Malik Beasley’s free agency picture is starting to clear up. After being officially cleared as a non-target in the Eastern District of New York gambling investigation (per ESPN), Beasley is once again available on the market. The sharpshooter ranked second in total 3-pointers made last season, cementing himself as one of the NBA’s top perimeter weapons.

With free agency mostly settled since June, Beasley’s late entry creates a unique market:
Detroit Pistons: Hold Non-Bird Rights (up to $7.2M), but wing depth is already full after signing Caris LeVert, Duncan Robinson, and Javonte Green.
New York Knicks: Have maintained interest since the playoffs. With Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Twons needing spacing, Beasley’s shooting could be an ideal fit.
Brooklyn Nets: Could offer a 1-year, $10–14M deal as leverage in Cam Thomas’s restricted free agency, while keeping Beasley as a tradeable shooter at the deadline.
Market Outlook: Beasley may need to settle for a short-term deal, whether with the Knicks, Nets, or Pistons—or take a minimum deal with a contender to reset his market value.
Catch the full breakdown of Beasley’s options and what comes next for one of the NBA’s most consistent shooters.
