We tend to always hold on to the passed. We tend to always fear who we were and going back to that "old self". If you fuel off this fear, then that's great. You have learned how to channel your emotions towards becoming a better you. If the fear of being your old self fears you enough where you slack off and begin those steps back to your old self, then you need to have a serious talk with yourself.
Same with the opposing side. If you were once super fit, athletic, and was the fitness addict, but that was 15 years ago, you're in the now right now stop dredding on the passed. Your body is extremely resilient. If you were super fit before, you will achieve that times 2 this time. Your health has guided you to this very day, now it time for you to make moves!
