WHOA DAD! GO DAD! - Episode 10: Featuring Andrew Schremp
Welcome to Episode Ten with Andrew Schremp
(Andrew’s Dad Stats: Two Boys, 2.5 years and 8 months.)
Andrew is the kind of man you want shoulder-to-shoulder when you are doing anything of importance; throwing a frisbee, building a deck, growing a business, figuring out life, listening to Randy Rogers Band at the Troubador in West Hollywood, or piloting a rocket to Mars. You know, stuff like that. Most of which we have done together, or will do together.
Andrew and I became fast friends in the trenches of the insurance business back in 2006. I had the good fortune of being in the early stages of the firm's leadership path and serving as the Collegiate Unit Director. I recruited interns, trained and coached them, and did ride-alongs with them to meetings. Thinking back, I was just as much a newbie to the game as he was for all intents and purposes, I just had learned to enjoy the taste of rejection more than he might have. Andrew was tenacious and we made the game fun, together.
That summer set the stage for a life long friendship, one where we both now channel our personal and professional tenacity in pursuit of raising healthy, happy babies into playful and productive grown ups. We’ve both struck gold in our life with amazing partners, and are on the early side of dad-hood. It will be fun to share our parenting experiences as life unfolds.
