Whoever Has Ears, Let Them Hear
“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.” - Revelation 2:7.
Have you noticed how much noise surrounds us every day? Social media, friends’ advice, the pressure of school, work, and life — everything is competing for our attention. But here, God gives a serious call: “Whoever has ears, let them hear.” It’s not just about hearing with our ears, but letting the message sink deep into our hearts and actually change the way we live.
The promise is clear: only the victors will eat from the tree of life in paradise. But what does it mean to be victorious? It’s not about winning in sports, grades, or career. It’s about winning the battles inside. It’s saying “no” to the voices pulling you away from God. It’s resisting the easy shortcuts, the false teachings, the temptations that only leave you empty. In the original text, the word “overcome” means to keep overcoming, to keep winning, day after day.
So let me ask you: right now, are you being defeated… or are you overcoming?
Whose voice are you listening to more — the world’s or the Spirit’s?
The Spirit is still speaking today. Every time you pray, open the Bible, or hear a message, He’s calling: “Listen to Me, return to Me, choose life.” But listening without obeying means nothing. Real listening means action. Real listening means change.
The tree of life, lost in Eden, will be given again to those who remain faithful. Picture it: a world with no pain, no death, no tears. But that promise isn’t automatic. It’s reserved for the ones who overcome, who remain faithful to the end.
Today, the Spirit is calling you. Will you just hear… or will you obey?
The choice is right in front of you: stay the same, or start living as a victor.
Stop and ask yourself: “What do I need to change today to truly listen and obey God’s voice?”
Victory can start right now.
