John 14: 4-5, 7-8, 13-16, 21, 24, 26; John 3:16
Jesus comforts his disciples by explaining to them that if they have Him, they also have the Father who sent Him. Also, if they have seen Him, they have also seen the Father, for He is the incarnated representation of the Father.
Our path is to follow the teachings of Jesus, for in doing so, we are in unity with Him and the Father, as they are one. Jesus encourages us to pray in His name, not for His sake, but for the glorification of the Father. While Jesus may not be physically present, we are not left alone. We have His Helper, the Holy Spirit, who serves as our guide, teacher, and the one who brings to our remembrance all that Jesus has said. The Holy Spirit is our constant reminder of Jesus's promises, ensuring we never feel lost or abandoned.
Today's application: is to get to know Jesus. If you do, you will have His Helper, the Holy Spirit, and Him and the Father; they will be in you, guiding your life. For all three, make the Triune God.
