Throughout chapters in Psalms and other passages scattered through the Bible, we see people using their entire body to worship God. Whether it’s dancing undignified in the streets, wearing sackcloth and ashes, or falling on their face, we see the people of God have bodily responses to the Spirit of God. But even as we read about it, are we that comfortable, or are we that surrendered, to use our entire body for the worship of God? On today’s episode, Illuminator Tiffany Casey and I discuss this topic of whole body worship.  
 I hope this episode challenges you next time you’re in worship. I pray that we can all be filled with boldness for Christ to pour out our all, just as He did so graciously for us!

Why does it seem so hard to get it all together? Running kids around to get to their schedule activities, spending time with friends or your spouse, investing in your health, and the list can go on! It can be overwhelming figuring out how to keep it all together while we run around feeling overwhelmed and defeated. But maybe we're asking the wrong question. Instead of asking why can't I get it together, maybe we should ask, are we setting realistic expectations?

On today's show of Let It Shine we are digging into the meaning of spiritual direction, how it's different from counseling, and who it's for! 

Dr. Elaina Barron holds a Masters of Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry and works as a spiritual director for Interfaith Counseling Center in Lexington, Kentucky where she offers soul care and discipleship to women from across the nation. For thirty years she has been caring for the church and women of all ages in the areas of next steps, transitions, marriage, parenting, listening to the Spirit and deepening their walk with God. Elaina is passionate about the word of God and helping others fall in love with Him and truly experience the abundant life that Jesus promised in John 10:10.  

In this conversation, Angie and Elaina discuss spiritual direction and its impact on personal growth and connection with God. You may hear silences in this episode unlike others.
