Think about the astronomical rate of growth of not just public relations, but branding, marketing, advertising, all sorts of means and methods to get your story to be covered as if it was the real story, as if it was objective news. It’s really unethical when you think about it for someone to be talking to you like they think something in a genuine way, but they really don’t.
