Who is your ideal coworking space member? How would you describe them?

I get that this exercise can feel boring—writing down precisely who that person is and having a natural thinking about it.

But here’s the thing: when you see them, you’ll know them.

And this isn’t your typical “buyer persona” for a marketing pitch. It’s about finding the type of person to help create the community in your space.

Now, if you’ve got 5,000 desks to fill, maybe your ideal member is just anyone with a pulse and a chequebook!

But when you’re creating a community (which I think is where the real opportunity lies in the coworking and flexible workspace world), the question is, who is that ideal member?

How do they gel?

How do they fit in?

What do they bring to the space?

I know I find this hard to do myself, but getting it on paper sometimes makes you see things you didn’t even think of before.
