This week we're taking a look at the starts and stripes. Just as words can become weapons, our flag has been politicized to the point that it is used as a "shield" of protection by the people who carried out the insurrection at our Capitol on January 6th. We talk about Macy Gray's recent essay calling the current flag  “tattered, dated, divisive, and incorrect." She says it “no longer represents democracy and freedom.” We couldn't agree more.
