You who believe the Bible to be the Word of God understand that God has defined certain primary social structures- self, family, church, and state. Yet, as one looks around, particularly at the church, one sees such a variety of forms and of functions that he wonders if God has failed to give clear instruction regarding the church. But is this confusion to be identified with God speaking equivocally, or with men, even professing Christian men, not listening clearly to God- Joshua was a man who listened to God, who trembled at His word.
