Whose Side Are You On?

“Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.” — Revelation 12:17.

This verse reveals a hard but necessary truth: the enemy is not indifferent. The dragon, Satan, is furious. He knows he lost when Jesus died on the cross, but he hasn’t given up. Now his anger is directed at one specific group—the remnant.

Who is this remnant? It’s not just anyone who calls themselves a “Christian.” The Bible says clearly: they are those who keep the commandments of God and hold the testimony of Jesus. This means the enemy doesn’t waste his greatest attacks on those already living in sin or on those who are spiritually asleep. His fiercest war is against those who choose obedience and take God seriously.

And here’s the uncomfortable part: if you don’t feel resistance in your spiritual life today, maybe it’s because you’re not a threat to the enemy. He doesn’t bother with those already on the broad road. But when you decide to live differently, when you choose to be faithful even in small things, that’s when the dragon rises against you.

Look around: we live in a world that mocks God’s law, that twists principles, that calls wrong right and right wrong. Keeping the commandments looks outdated; holding on to the testimony of Jesus looks foolish. But that’s exactly what sets the remnant apart. They don’t follow the crowd. They stand when everyone else bows to the world’s standards.

So the question is: Whose side are you on? There are only two flags in this battle—the banner of Christ and the banner of rebellion. There’s no middle ground. Revelation shows us that in the last days, God’s people will be a minority. That might sound scary, but here’s the hope: being with Christ is always the majority, because He has already won.

Today, the call is clear: choose to be among those who keep and who testify. Not just with your lips, but with your life. Young friend, God is not calling you to a comfortable faith, but to a faith that challenges, that disturbs, that resists.

If you realize you’ve been living in the middle ground, today is the time to change sides. Surrender fully to Jesus. Decide to be part of the remnant that keeps the commandments and holds firmly to the testimony. The dragon may roar, but Christ has already conquered. And if you are with Him, the victory is yours too.
