Have you ever prayed for direction and then realized the answer is correction?
I shared something personal because it checked me first. God used two different people, including my husband, to tell me the same thing: stop cutting people off when they talk. Let people finish their thoughts. Be quicker to close your mouth and slower to speak. I heard it both times, but I did not really receive it.
A month went by, and I had fallen off from recording. When I finally sat down to pray and realign myself with what I believe God called me to do, He brought those exact situations back to my memory. It was not random. It was conviction. And what I sensed clearly in my spirit was this: you need to learn when to be quiet.
In this episode, I break down John 16:13 and what it really means for the Spirit of truth to guide you into all truth. Guidance requires yielding. You cannot ask the Holy Ghost to lead you while you are still determined to control every conversation and defend every point. Discernment does not come from personality or intelligence. It comes from the power of God working in you, helping you know what to receive and what to reject.
If we are honest, many of us place our opinions, our pride, our platforms, and even our daily routines ahead of obedience, while still claiming to be submitted.
When anything takes priority over God’s voice, that is idolatry, even when it looks productive and spiritual on the outside.
If you have been asking God for direction but resisting the discipline that comes with it, this episode will challenge you in a way that love sometimes has to.
