Why are boundries important for community leaders?

So, every conversation this week has been about boundaries, whether it was online events I attended about self-care.
Chris Marr talked a lot about boundaries and setting them up with people.
Stacey from the Tribe Coworking talked about setting boundaries in her coworking space.
Boundaries and 'clear is kind' are central to the work of author and speaker Kim Scott.
Clear is kind because working with you is more straightforward when people know where you stand.
But it's a nightmare when you flip back and forth, not committing, following through, or taking responsibility.
The responsibility is about where you are as yourself and organising that.
Being straightforward is a big thing for community managers because you have to make clear boundaries with people.
It's a case of putting your oxygen marks on first.
The better you are with your boundaries, the easier it is for you and the more effective you are at helping others.
