We are talking all things Superfoods! 3 Episodes ago we introduced this topic, so if you missed it go back and check it out! But we talked about what a superfood is (and the controversy with that name!) and we started with the Fruit Edition then went to the Veggie Edition and then went to the “other” edition.
Today, we are moving on to the Beauty Edition! Because let’s face it mamas, we rarely think about our own needs…so I’m gonna help you out a little bit! You can be making yourself look better simply by the foods you are eating! (and looking for these things in your skincare products!) We are going to talk about how to achieve glowing skin -and target pesky problems-through the foods you are eating!
So just a upper quick recap of the definition of what a “superfood” is:
Simply put, Superfoods are nutritional powerhouses. Superfoods are foods that have a very high nutritional density…they are extremely high in micronutrients like vitamins and minerals and are packed with fiber, as well as antioxidants, enzymes and health fats like omega-3 fatty acids. All of these nutrients are essential to your body so you can thrive. And on top of that, Super foods boost the immune system, help prevent anti-aging, and are linked to the prevention of disease.
