Scripture:
“So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.” — Jonah 1:6
How could Jonah sleep in the middle of a violent storm?
The ship was being tossed by waves. Sailors were terrified. Cargo was being thrown overboard. Yet Jonah was asleep below deck.
It seems impossible.
And yet spiritually, many of us understand exactly how it happens.
In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Jonah 1:6 and the powerful question the shipmaster asked: “What meanest thou, O sleeper?” Storms often reveal what we have been ignoring.
