Why aren’t there prices for dental implants online in LA?

  • No dental implant prices on Yelp in Los Angeles
  • No dental prices on DocDoc in LA
  • Not even UCLA Dental School publishes their dental prices
  • No prices on any LA dentists own website

    • Why don't dentists publish prices in LA?

    • #1 Dental insurance companies (Cigna, Delta, Humana, Aetna etc)  negotiate different rates per procedure and have a NDA in place where the dentist cannot publish their rates to the public
    • #2 Dentists do know prices - American Dental Association actually tracks prices and published latest report in 2020  they don’t disclose it to the public
    • #3 No legal Requirement to disclose prices
    • #4 General consensus in the dental industry that dentists should NOT compete on price
    • Why can other industries like airlines, automotive compete on quality, safety AND price...but the dental industry cannot?
