While some churches teach that believers should be involved only in evangelism and abstain from a career in politics, that’s not what the Bible teaches. “You are the salt of the earth…” and “You are the light of the world…” (Matthew 5:13, 14) indicate that all believers are to have a here-and-now influence in addition to evangelism and discipleship.
